Who we are

What we collect

When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give it, who you are (for example a parent or a school), what you are contacting us about, your message, and which marketing boxes you ticked. We record the date and time, and a scrambled code made from your internet address that helps us block spam. We cannot turn that code back into your address.

Why we use it

• To reply to you. We use your details to answer your message by email or phone, and to arrange lessons, sessions or programmes you ask about. The legal basis is taking steps at your request, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
• To send you news and offers, only if you ticked a box. If you ticked the email box we may email you about new courses, events and offers. If you ticked the call box we may call or text you about them. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by contacting us, and this does not affect anything we sent before.
• To keep a record. We keep a note of what you agreed to and when, so we can show we have your permission.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your details, and we do not pass them to other organisations for their marketing. Our website, database and email are hosted by IONOS, who store them securely on our behalf and cannot use them for anything else. We may share details where the law requires it, or where we need to protect a young person's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to two years after we last hear from you, then delete them, unless you go on to book with us, in which case we keep what we need to run your lessons or programme. If you agreed to marketing, we keep your details for that until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe we keep your email address on a short "do not contact" list so we do not message you by mistake.

Young people

Young people are very welcome to contact us. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to get in touch for you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, ask us to delete them, object to how we use them, or ask us to stop marketing to you. Email info@theeqlab.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a copy of its pages on your device so it loads quickly and works offline, which you can clear at any time in your browser settings.
